About

A delivery leader, not a bystander advisor.

Rod Brown leads Management IQ — bringing over a decade of Programme and Portfolio Director experience to organisations that need someone who will take control of the delivery, not just comment on it.

Rod Brown — Director, Management IQ

A highly experienced, results-driven Programme Director with a proven track record of leading and turning around complex, high-value change and transformation programmes for CEOs, Boards, and senior executive teams.

Rod's career spans central government, defence, healthcare, and law enforcement — sectors where a programme going wrong isn't a footnote, it's a headline. Before founding Management IQ, he served as an officer in the British Army, where he first built the discipline that now defines his approach: clear governance, honest reporting, and a bias toward action over process for its own sake.

He has since directed national-scale transformation programmes including the National Police Air Service Transition and a £2.3bn NHS supply chain Target Operating Model. At GCHQ, he advised sponsors, programme directors, and programme managers on national security programmes — including getting hands-on with delivery where required — consistently delivering cost savings in excess of £10m per annum while keeping programmes on time and within budget.

He is currently Programme Director on the easyJet Inflight Retail Programme for dnata Retail and Catering UK, leading the technology transformation of core retail systems across three airline operating certificates.

Rod holds an MBA, an MSc in Information Capability Management, a Diploma in Corporate Governance, a Postgraduate Award in Organisational Transformation & Design, and a Level 7 Award in Leadership & Management. His professional qualifications include APMP, MSP Advanced Practitioner, and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), alongside a broader range of project and change management certifications.
